Get Edified, upholds an unreserved dedication to a grammatical-historical interpretation of the Bible and affirms the following foundational doctrines of the Christian faith:
THEOLOGY: We uphold the doctrine of the Trinity, recognising God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are co-eternal, co-equal, and co-essential within the unified Godhead.
BIBLIOLOGY: We believe that the Scriptures, in their original texts of the Old and New Testaments, are inspired by God in every word (plenary, verbal inspiration), and are thus inerrant, infallible, and the ultimate authority in matters of faith and conduct.
ANTHROPOLOGY: God created humanity in His image, beginning with Adam, who was made holy and righteous. God placed Adam and Eve, as male and female, in the Garden of Eden in a state of sinless perfection.
HAMARTIOLOGY: Through their willful disobedience, Adam and Eve lost their original holiness and righteousness. This rebellion brought judgment and a sinful nature that extends to all humanity, making each person a sinner by birth and by choice.
ANGELOLOGY: We believe in the existence and ministry of angels as spiritual beings created by God, serving as His messengers. While powerful, they are distinct from and subordinate to God. Fallen angels, led by Satan, oppose God’s plans yet will face judgment.
CHRISTOLOGY: We affirm the eternal deity of Jesus Christ, His incarnation through the Virgin Birth, His sinless life, His atoning death for humanity’s sins, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension to Heaven. He alone is the Savior of humankind.
PNEUMATOLOGY: The Holy Spirit is fully divine and personal. He baptises, indwells, seals, and anoints believers at the moment of salvation. We affirm the necessity of the Spirit’s ongoing filling for sanctification and service and reject the teachings of the modern Charismatic movement.
SOTERIOLOGY: Salvation is the work of God’s sovereign grace, extended to humanity through faith in Jesus Christ. We affirm the eternal security of all believers who are in Christ.
ECCLESIOLOGY: We maintain a dispensational distinction between Israel and the Church, uphold baptism by immersion, and advocate separation from apostasy in both belief and practice. The Great Commission remains central to our purpose.
ESCHATOLOGY: We anticipate Christ's pre-millennial return, the Church's imminent tribulation rapture, the resurrection of the dead, and the eternal joys of Heaven for the redeemed. We also affirm the unredeemed's eternal punishment in Hell.
